Smoked Sausage and Green Beans Recipe

Sausages are quick and easy to prepare and add a salty, smokey flavor to this lazy keto dish. Sweet bell pepper and green beans add a pop of color and fresh flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1½lb/680g smoked sausage
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2lb/900g green beans, washed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tsp garlic, crushed

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat, and fry the onion and bell pepper.
  2. Add the sausages to the skillet and cook until cooked through and browned. Remove them from the skillet and cut them into bite-size pieces. 
  3. Return the sausage to the skillet and add the garlic. Saute another 30 seconds.
  4. Add the green beans into the skillet and mix well. Cover and cook until the beans are al dente, and serve.
