Low-Carb Keto Ground Beef Stroganoff Recipe

For the entire recipe, 4 servings, you’ll need:

  • 1lb/450g lean ground beef
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ onion, chopped 
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp brandy
  • 1 tbsp beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • ½ tsp nutmeg, grated
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Here is how you prepare it:

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt. 
  2. Once it melts, add the mushrooms and cook them for 2–3 minutes or until they are browned. 
  3. Add the onions and saute until they are golden brown. 
  4. In another pan, add the beef to the pan and break it into small pieces. Cook until it’s fully cooked. 
  5. Add the brandy, broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix thoroughly. 
  6. Once the meat cooks, add the mushrooms to the meat pan. 
  7. Sprinkle the nutmeg on top of the meat. 
  8. Add the cream cheese and stir until it is fully melted. 
  9. Stir in the sour cream and let it simmer. 
  10. Stir in the parsley, salt, and pepper.
