This low-carb variation of traditional Big Mac will surprise you with the intensity of flavor. 

This recipe replaces all the carbs with healthy fats and protein, making it effective not only for losing weight but for your health as well. If this does not satisfy your Big Mac cravings, have it with some keto buns but with the other ingredients so that it is healthy. 

Ingredients:

  • 4oz/115g ground beef
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • Pinch of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 cups chopped lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp keto tomato ketchup
  • ½ tsp mustard
  • ½ tsp vinegar
  • Pinch of paprika
  • Stevia or other sugar-free sweeteners to taste if you want your sauce on the sweeter side
  • ¼ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions: 

  1. Cook the beef in a heavy pan, breaking it with a spoon till brown. 
  2. Reduce the heat to medium and add onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. 
  3. Stir from time to time till the beef is done – this can take up to 15 more minutes. 
  4. Place the lettuce in a bowl and spoon in the beef.
  5. Top with onions.
  6. Mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, vinegar, paprika, and sweetener (if using). Add some salt and drizzle over the salad.
  7. Top with cheese and sprinkle the sesame seeds for the final touch.
