Although you cannot have regular tacos on the keto diet, you can still enjoy this low-carb version, a taco salad.
Although you cannot have regular tacos on the keto diet, you can still enjoy this low-carb version, a taco salad.
At the same time, you can use ready-to-use flourless keto tacos if you want or simply enjoy the salad on its own.
Ingredients:
- 4oz/115g ground beef or turkey
- 2 tbsp chopped onion
- 1 tsp taco seasoning
- 1 tbsp broth or water
- 1½ cups mixed greens or lettuce
- ¼ avocado, chopped
- 4–5 cherry tomatoes, halved
- ¼ cup fresh tomato salsa
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro

Instructions:
- Heat a non-stick skillet and put in the beef and the onion.
- Stir on medium heat till brown, around 5 minutes.
- Drain off any excess grease.
- Add broth or water and taco seasoning and cook briefly for 2 minutes so that the flavors blend. This keeps the beef moist.
- Line the bowl with the greens and put the beef on top.
- Arrange the avocado and cherry tomatoes on the beef.
- Top with salsa and sour cream.
- Garnish with cilantro, and you are good to go.
