Fried Tofu and Avocado Salad Recipe

Ingredients: 

  • 165g/5.8oz tofu
  • 1½ tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp tamari
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped
  • ½ medium cucumber, sliced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 medium avocado, chopped
  • 5 medium cherry tomatoes, quarters

Instructions: 

  1. Cut the tofu into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix tamari sauce, lemon juice, and tofu cubes. Season with salt and ground black pepper.
  3. Heat half of the olive oil in a nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Add the tofu to the pan and fry for 3–4 minutes on each side until crispy.
  4. Assemble lettuce leaves, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, and fried tofu in a bowl. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil and sprinkle chopped cilantro and sesame seeds on top. Enjoy!
