Tofu is an excellent source of protein, making it a good meat alternative. Plus, it's super easy to build flavor with. Try this fried tofu recipe and add a dash of scallions for a flavorful dish.
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup tofu, cubes
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1½ tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp water
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- 1 tbsp tamari
- 1 tbsp fresh scallions, chopped

How to prepare:
- In a bowl, mix together tamari, water, salt, ground black pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add tofu cubes and cook for 1–2 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve the fried tofu in a bowl and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds. Drizzle with sauce, and enjoy!
- Note: Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your taste or use your favorite spices instead
