Omelet with Ham and Bell Pepper Recipe

Ingredients: 

  • ⅔ medium bell pepper, sliced 
  • 2 medium eggs 
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper 
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1½ tbsp olive oil
  • 30g/1oz pork ham, lean
  • 1 pinch chili flakes
  • 1 pinch dried basil
  • 1 ½ tbsp heavy cream, 36% fat 
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped

Instructions: 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs with heavy cream, a pinch of salt, ground black pepper, dried basil, and chili flakes (optional). Then, add chopped ham and give it another stir.
  2. Heat a frying pan with olive oil over medium heat and add bell pepper and garlic. Sautee for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  3. Into the same frying pan, pour the egg mixture. Cook for 4–6 minutes, covered with a pan lid, or until the egg mixture sets. 
  4. On a serving plate, serve the omelet topped with chives, and enjoy!
